So...when I left university I decided to polish up on my character animation skills because my FMP was so long, that I did not have the time to go back and polish the animation so it kinda sucked and when I tried redoing it, I pretty much lost motivation and kept getting sidetracked and thats when i made a subconcious decision to avoid animating humans and stick to objects and motion graphics. But now after looking at the future prospects, it seems like character animation is a very beneficial skill to have so here it is.....Character Animation - Round 2.

Project Showreel 2012
Yup, I said it. I'm going to make my showreel a project...meaning, I am going to make pieces of work specifically for my showreel. I learnt a lot of new techniques after leaving university and to show them off in a polished form, I will make a new project using these techniques. The showreel is going to showoff my knowledge of:
(In order of appearance)
(In order of appearance)
- Character animation
- Hard surface 3d Modelling
- Camera tracking
- Match moving
- Compositing
I'M BACK....ye
So....Im going to start blogging a bit more now. I have graduated from University with a 2:1 and in the months after leaving, towards the end of 2011, I started learning useful things (isnt that what university was for...? I ask my self the same thing every day) but thats the past and the future is unknown. BUT what I am quite certain about is that I will need to continue making new animations and improving what i already learnt, if I want to get into the industry. So to do that, I will need to make an impressive showreel and that is what I am here to talk about today....but thats all for this post.
IM BACK (Hopefully for more than a month) :)
